What I’m Liking: Current Home Decor Favorites

I’ve decided to start a new series this year! I want to share with you guys some of the favorites  that have been catching my eye each month. This can be anything from home decor, recipes or fashion. I’m a firm believer of looking for inspiration. I follow bloggers and stalk Pinterest and see if any new or cool trends pop up that I like. I think the only way to develop a personal taste is to look at all of your options. If you only look at one type of clothing do you really know what you like? Know what I mean?

So, to keep it simple this will be “What I’m Liking”. My goal is to share something at least once a month. With sharing these items, maybe you guys will spot something that isn’t typical for you that you like. Or, you could just be like me and just be nosy! I love knowing what people are interested in!

Chunky Blankets

First, I have been loving oversized chunky knit blankets! I can’t wait to get my hands on one. You’ve probable seen these all over social media or Pinterest lately. Everywhere I turn I see them and every time I am just as obsessed and determined to get one! These are like your typical knit blanket but the yarn used is huge! They look so soft and cozy, like you could just disappear inside of them. They can be fairly pricey but there are lots of tutorials on how to make them with some basic knitting skills. Copper

Those who truly know me, know that if I could, I would cover my life in gold. But lately, a new metallic has taken my heart. Don’t fret, its not too far from gold. It’s Copper! Guys, the industrial copper look has been around for a couple of years now and I have always been a fan. But, lately I have seen people branching out from lamps and tables and using copper in new ways. My favorite currently is copper hardware on furniture! Copper drawer pulls especially. I love the warmth it brings in. This trend goes well with another favorite of mine this month, navy!

Navy

I am for sure a black, white and gray girl. Its simple and clean. However, lately I have been loving navy decor, in particular navy cabinets and navy couches. I think that navy isn’t too overbearing so it can fit into a room easily, adding personality but not detracting from the room. Its an easy way to safely veer from the grayscale. I especially love this plush couch from Crate and Barrel.

Minimalist Bottles

The last thing catching my eye this month are these minimalist bottles to rebottle your products. There’s a beautiful aspect to having uniformity in your containers. It lessens the physical and visual clutter and makes your space look more cohesive. Also you can customize it to fit your decor. I think out everything this month these are my favorites. You can get several types here.

Here’s the inspo that caught my eye on Pinterest. It appears to be from a bath remodel from Style Bee (which is a very beautiful blog that I am now following)
